Plein Adventurous

En route to see family, my husband detoured to Topsail Beach for short stop to humor his “plein crazy” wife.  We stopped a the beach, ran over the dunes and were attacked by wind and sand that stuck to just-applied sunscreen. ‘No way to hold a pochade box and canvas panel in that fierce weather.  We loaded back up and then tried another place—a boat ramp lot near the bridge had a little path that led to the waterway. 
I quickly set up my gear, started painting furiously, hoping a center-of-interest would float by.  It did!
