Pasture Pals

The artist was given an opportunity to paint one of the historic farms in North Carolina before the influx of more development takes away the rural feel of the area.  She went to paint "en plein air" to capture the landscape and old barns, and while there, two beautiful horses came to watch her at work at her easel.  The lighting was dramatic and the animals were beautiful.  They inspired this painting.
